1. Who we are

PriceRadar is operated by Thepriceradar.com ("we", "us"), acting as the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Service.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, password hash, locale.
• Product tracking data: URLs you submit, target prices, alert preferences.
• Notification data: opt-in channel identifiers (Telegram chat ID, web push subscription).
• Support data: messages you send via support tickets.
• Usage & telemetry: IP address, device/user-agent, pages visited, error logs.
• Billing reference: subscription status and Paddle customer ID. We do not store payment card details — those are handled by Paddle.

3. Why we use it (legal bases)

• Provide the Service and your account (contract performance).
• Send alerts and transactional emails you opted in to (contract / consent).
• Prevent fraud, abuse and secure the Service (legitimate interest).
• Improve the Service through aggregated analytics (legitimate interest).
• Comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax, accounting).

4. Sharing

• Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payments, invoicing, tax compliance, refunds and chargebacks. See Paddle's privacy notice.
• Cloud hosting & database — Supabase (managed via Lovable Cloud).
• Notification providers — Telegram (only if you connect Telegram alerts), web push provider, email delivery provider.
• Price scraping providers — Firecrawl, used to fetch publicly available product pages.
• Authorities where required by law.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside your country (e.g. United States, European Union). Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Retention

Account and tracking data is retained while your account is active. Price history is retained for up to 13 months. Email logs are retained for 90 days. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed, unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent you may withdraw it at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email support@thepriceradar.com. We respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, role-based access, row-level security on user data, and audited secrets storage. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong unique password.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Paddle's checkout may set its own cookies when displayed.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this Notice. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app.
